Bobble: Easily the best new song on this week's round-up, but that's not saying much. Rumer's a fine singer but Goodbye Girl sounds a little dated to me. Should still do well with all the promo work behind her.

SBTRKT ft. Sampha - Look At Stars
Dan: South London producer SBTRKT has been creating a bit of a stir in blog-land with his early releases, as well as some exciting remixes. This trippy post-dubstep number is another goon'un, featuring Sampha on scat-vocals. Interesting.

Jay Sean ft. Lil Wayne - Hit The Lights
Dan: Jay Sean wins the prize for Laughably Immature Rap Lyric of the Week, with this little teenage wet dream from Hit The Lights, "It’s so hot there’s girls just taking all their clothes off / So take a picture of this moment with your iPhone / Cause I don’t wanna forget tonight-night-night-night". Utter trash.

Jon Fratelli - Santo Domingo
Bobble: Fratelli's unfaltering commitment to delivering every pair of lines in exactly the same way makes this three-minute effort get boring and then frustrating, which is a shame as the song itself actually has promise. I suspect a live version could be much better than the recording.

Mann ft. 50 Cent - Buzzin'
Bobble: Buzzin' is actually not that bad - I'm not the world's biggest 50 Cent fan, but I could probably bear to hear this on the radio or on a night out. I'd rather see it on the TV though, thanks to the visual effect of the two performers taunting their scantily clad dancing lady from opposite ends of what's either a whitewashed garage, or a wind tunnel in heaven.
